Ana Siersma

Executive Assistant and Catering Coordinator

Ana’s connection with nonprofit work began long before her tenure with Serving Hope. Ana was an instructor from 2003 – 2009 with Madison Children’s Theatre. Ana’s duties included set/costume design, special effects with stage makeup application, teaching children’s acting classes, and directing theatre productions.

During this time Ana also volunteered to help with local area film productions, acting as Wardrobe Assistant for the Costume Department on projects such as Air Band or How I Hated Being Bobby Manelli’s Blonde Headed Friend which won an award at the Sidewalk Film Festival.

Ana then worked at CFD Research Corporation in Administration for two years before leaving to pursue her degree at UNA. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Alabama with a B.S. in Human Environmental Sciences. During her time at UNA she was a founding and active member of the Culinary Club. Ana has long carried love of the arts as a whole in her heart.

After graduation she worked for BBVA Compass Bank as a Teller and also as an Office Assistant at Bookout Studios before finding her current position.

Ana began working with Cynthia Hart through Cyn Shea’s Café & Catering in December 2014. Since then, Ana has worn many hats; serving as the company’s Executive Assistant to Cynthia, Catering Coordinator, and acting as Head Marketing Executive.

Ana and her husband live in Madison County with their daughter. The Siersma’ s enjoy being stewards to a Little Free Library and traveling. Ana currently spends her free time learning how to play the ukulele, deep water swimming, and container gardening.
