Feeding the Mind. Nourishing the Soul.
The HOPE HEALS Program is designed to teach students useful culinary techniques, proper food storage & handling procedures, and life skills to build careers in food service and hospitality while maintaining a stable home environment.
Hands-on training gives real time experience in a functioning cafe, catering, and private event settings. Students are able to perform many different roles in each department granting them a greater set of skills. By working and training 'side by side', we can ensure their time is impactful and positive. All students receive a stipend for work performed during ‘hands-on’ instruction in the café.
Students are prepared through our program to acquire nationally recognized ServSafe certification. ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection. This certification is recognized by more federal, state and local jurisdictions than any other food safety certification and is valid for 5 years.
The skills and certification obtained from our program will aid graduates in finding gainful employment and build character. Upon completion of the Hope Heals program, we work closely with our students and local businesses within the restaurant & hospitality industry for job placement.
